The DBS series ballistic separators efficiently sort material into three streams: three-dimensional (3D) materials such as PET bottles, HDPE containers, and cans; two-dimensional (2D) materials like cardboard, paper, and film; and fine materials.
Ballistic separators are essential equipment within an MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) sorting line. The DBS series is designed to separate incoming waste based on its physical properties:
This triple separation is achieved based on the material's density, moment of inertia, and geometry. Dense, large items are propelled forward and upward by the motion of the plates. Light, flat items are carried to the top of the waste bed, while materials smaller than the plate perforations fall through the holes. The performance and capacity of DBS ballistic separators are engineered at the design stage to meet specific Customer requirements.
