Bag opener is an integral part of a municipal solid waste (MSW) sorting line, designed for preliminary tearing/opening of waste bags containing municipal solid waste delivered to sorting facilities.

The system consists of:

• feed hopper with a "Moving Floor" system;
• breaker unit equipped with:
  • a segmented hydraulic drum (operating on a specific rotation algorithm)
  • a press comb assembly (with 17 independently adjustable hydraulic pressure combs).

Key Operational Features:

• the moving floor system is impact-resistant, allowing use with front-end loaders and grapple loaders for material feeding while ensuring consistent material flow to the breaker unit;
• the hydraulic drum drags material beneath the press combs, with its segmented design following a precise rotation pattern;
• the press comb system (with 17 hydraulically adjustable independent combs) guarantees ≥95% bag rupture efficiency for MSW bags.
