Automated RDF fuel delivery system for cement production kilns
The technology for supplying RDF fuel is quite complex, with each project being unique, and the composition of the line may vary depending on numerous parameters.
Below is an example description and composition of the Wood waste grinding and drying line. The line includes:
The fuel reception and supply line to the dry kiln decarbonizer (capacity up to 20 tons/hour) includes:
The DOC station for receiving alternative fuel (delivered by chip trucks) has a capacity of 1 to 20 tons per hour. An option for "operation from wheels" is possible, where the chip truck serves as operational storage. Two to three DOC stations can be installed on one collection conveyor. Functions of the DOC station:
The scraper conveyor has a specialized design for interfacing with the DOC station and is fully enclosed. It is designed to collect and transport AT from two DOC stations to the separation unit.
The disc separator is also enclosed and is intended for removing large inclusions from the AT mass, breaking up lumps, and loosening the material.
The rotary weigh feeder consists of a pre-hopper with a loosening (mixing) device, equipped with a dosing rotor with cells and a two-stage weighing system. Its capacity is up to 15 tons per hour.
The RDF fuel supply line for cement plants also includes screw and airlock feeders, as well as shutter valves.
With this configuration, the grinding and drying line achieves the following performance indicators (Raw material: wet wood waste (sawdust, cuttings, logs, slabs, etc.) with moisture content up to 60%):
| Name of parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Initial parameters of the raw materials: | |
| Humidity, % | 1,5-3 |
| Ash, % | 8 - 15 |
| Heat of combustion (working, at 1.5% humidity), MJ | 22 - 30 |
| Volatile matter yield in the range from 300 to 1050 degrees Celsius, % | 84-89 |
| Granule diameter, mm | 6 - 25 |
| Bulk density, t/cu.m | 0,4 - 0,5 |
| Characteristics | Raw material: raw wood waste (sawdust, trimmings, roundwood, slabs, etc.) with a moisture content of up to 60% |
| Raw materials input, t/h | 23 |
| Raw materials output, t/h | 11 (microchips less than 3 mm with moisture content less than 10%) |
| *Values may vary depending on the composition of the materials |
