A trailed compost turner Willibald TBU 3P has been launched as part of a fertile soil production line at an enterprise engaged in the collection and disposal of plant waste and urban landscaping.
The compost production line from plant waste is located next to the enterprise's site where fertile soil is produced. The compost obtained from leaves, grass, and branches will also be used to create this soil.
The decision to build the composting line was made to reduce waste disposal volumes and integrate them into secondary circulation. The planned raw materials include plant waste generated during the maintenance of green areas: leaves, grass, branches, and twigs. Annual processing will exceed 70 thousand cubic meters of waste, with an expected output of at least 28 thousand cubic meters of finished compost.

Previously, plant waste was transported for landfill disposal. Thus, it was not integrated into the economic cycle. With the launch of the new line, the situation will change. Its capacity will be sufficient to process all grass, leaves, and branches generated in the city and surrounding areas. The possibility of accepting plant waste from organizations in the housing and communal services sector is also being considered.
Branches and twigs will be sent to a shredder, where they will be turned into wood chips, which will then be mixed with leaves or grass and placed in windrows. This raw material will then be periodically turned using a compost turner (model TBU 3P from the German manufacturer Willibald GmbH), which will aerate it and accelerate the composting process. After the composting reaction occurs, meaning the plant waste has decomposed, the finished compost will be loaded into a drum screener, where the fine fraction will be sifted. This is the final product. The remaining material will be reloaded for further decomposition.
The plant waste composting station will become operational very soon. Only five workers will be required to manage the entire technological cycle.
