Plastic film recycling line

Applicable materials

Waste plastic film/ bag can be in many different conditions in terms of moisture, contamination, and film/ bag type, basically divided into the following families:

• Agricultural film (including greenhouse, mulching, tunnel and banana film)
• Post-consumer film (including film from landfills and selective collections)
• Post-commercial and post-industrial film (including material 100% stretch)
• Jumbo bag, PP woven bag, etc.

Advantages

1. Shredding system is designed specifically for film materials to create a uniform particle size which is easy for washing and drying.
2. High speed washing system optimized according to the specific material type liberates and separates contamination from film flakes.
3. Under water force-washing paddles in our washing tanks maximize the washing efficiency.
4. Mechanical (centrifugal and squeezing) and thermal drying systems control the moisture content of the finished product.
5. At < 5% moisture the material is suitable for high quality pelletizing.
6. Shredding, high speed washing and drying stages are optimized to avoid over processing which can cause material loss (fines creation).
7. Intelligent system automation ensures that components actions are sequenced and monitored.
8. Integrated systems to go from field to pellet.

Process

The film/ bag washing line equipped crushing, washing, and drying units, which allows to process different dirty levels of materials, from agricultural film, post-consumer film, post-commercial, post-industrial film to jumbo bag, woven bag, etc. The washed films/bags are fed into a squeezer to remove the moisture. Having a plastic squeeze dryer is a must to dehydrate the washed film/ bag, reduce the volume of recycled materials, and further refine the essence of final plastic pellets.

Unit Introduction

Metal-chain conveyor. Usage:for conveying baled material into next step.

Pre-shredder. Designed for materials with high strength, toughness, and high sediment content, it can cut the entire package of materials to a relatively uniform size and allowing the thin film materials to be fully unfolded for cleaning and drying.

Belt conveyor. Usage: for conveying material into next step and removing steels.

Pre-washer. Usage: for remove sands ,stone,steel by high speed friction and rinsing washer in one. Comprising of:

• the separation tank,built in stainless steel discharge drum
• double discharge system for "heavies", 500x500 mm square ,motorized valves
• with pneumatic water in-feed-valve, automatic level control via electronic feeler
• with compressor blower to inject compressed air to the bottom of the tank
• with working platform.

PC wet crusher. Usage: for wet crushing the material into smaller size.

Friction washer. Usage: rub flakes and take dirty water out in case go to next step.

Rinsing washing tank. Usage: sinking and removing dirty sands stone, oil, dust, etc.

Squeezer dryer. The water content is eventually reduced to less than 5%.

Mechanical dryer (optional drying solution). Usage: drying and removing water. Advantages:

• high effective drying and cleaning
• reinforced,mild steel and high speed rotor with exchangeable padels
• stainless steel screen hole size 2-3mm in polygon version for higher washing/drying effect
• easy replacement of screens (segmental design)
• housing builtin mild steel, welded construction
• oversized ,outside mounted bearings
• easy maintenance.

Thermal dryer & blower (optional drying solution). Usage: for drying flakes. For final drying of the flakes to a moisture of about 2 - 5 % by weight comprising of:

• mixing chamber for mixing the product with hot air
• heating device
• drying spiral with about 20m length build in compact version
• material separating cyclone
• temperature control device

Storage silo. Usage: for temporary storage for flakes. Blower power: 5.5kW, wolume: 5m³, discharging by double screw.

Smart Control cabinet. Use: to control the entire line.
