The ballistic separator efficiently sorts incoming waste streams into three distinct fractions: lightweights, heavies, and siftings.
This process simplifies downstream sorting stages and significantly enhances the quality and efficiency of recycling operations.
The LTR SBL ballistic separator utilizes a set of blades that rotate at an angle relative to each other. The angle of the entire blade assembly can be manually adjusted (or hydraulically with a special option). By fine-tuning the inclination of the blade surface, the separator can be optimally configured for the specific input material.
A steeper incline of the screening surface directs more material into the rolling fraction, resulting in a purer flat fraction, and vice-versa.
The unit provides highly effective sorting of material streams into different fractions:
Separation is based on the size and shape of the material against the perforations in the blades, ensuring an even distribution of waste on the accelerating conveyor belt. The shaking action effectively removes glass and particles stuck to materials.
